Welcome to forest house Dreamstay in Gorssel (Achterhoek). The ideal base to relax and unwind.

The Luxury NEW forest house with a large garden is on a small park in the woods. The chalet is fully equipped including a dishwasher, oven, induction hob, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, washing machine and rain shower. Everything for a relaxing vacation!

The area is perfect for walks and beautiful bike rides. The Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Deventer are about 5km away.

The accommodation

Our forest house Dreamstay Gorssel is located on a small vacation park in the middle of the woods of Gorssel.

Gorssel is halfway between the historic Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zutphen (both at about 5 km). The village is also situated along the river IJssel, on the edge of extensive forests and the Gorsselse heath. Here begins the coulisse landscape of the Achterhoek. Our forest house is located in the woods at Landhuis Amelte on a small and quiet vacation park. During your stay you are in the middle of forest life with birds and squirrels. A place to relax and unwind.

Our 4 person forest house is new (2024) and features many modern conveniences. There is plenty of light making it feel spacious inside.

In the living room there is a comfortable sofa and sitting chair. When not out and about, you can relax here, catch up with each other, read a book, have a drink or watch television. The Smart TV is equipped with apps such as Netflix, Videoland, NLZiet and Youtube. You can log in to these with your own account. So you can continue watching your favorite series where you left off.

In the dining area there is room for 4 people at the cozy round table. Besides eating together, this table is ideal for playing games! From the dining area you have a good view of our squirrel feeder, so get the camera ready!

The new luxury kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook and enjoy together. The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space and features a dishwasher, induction cooktop, large refrigerator with freezer, oven, microwave and even a washing machine. Baking a casserole or pizza in the oven, it's all possible here. In the microwave you can, for example, warm up a bottle of milk for your baby or prepare one of the many ready-to-eat meals for sale at the local caterer (approx. 1.4km from our house).

There is enough kitchen inventory to prepare your own delicious meals. For coffee drinkers, our kitchen has a Dolce Gusto coffee cup machine, where you can make espresso, cappucino or hot chocolate in addition to coffee. There is also a washing machine (bring your own detergent) so you can easily do some laundry during your stay.

To facilitate your arrival, we provide some basic things like salt, pepper, coffee creamer, sugar, coffee cups, tea and dishwasher tablets for the first few days. There is also one dish towel ready.

There are 2 bedrooms in the forest house. The bedrooms are next to the bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed. The other bedroom has 2 single beds. All beds are box spring beds with comfortable memory foam toppers so you can sleep well. The bedrooms offer a lot of storage space. The master bedroom has a small desk where you can work or study. Ideal for a "workation".
 
Of course, a nice bathroom with lots of storage space can not be missed. In the shower you can choose between a luxurious rain shower or a hand shower. Also located in the bathroom a sink cabinet with storage, large mirror, extractor, radiator and toilet. The bathroom has a tilt-turn window for fresh air. Please bring your own towels.

At the double window by the dining table and the double window in bedroom 1, one of the two windows is equipped with a mosquito net. In bedroom 2 and the bathroom is the window with a mosquito net.  

The living room has garden doors leading to the large garden with lots of privacy. On the spacious terrace is a garden set where you can enjoy your breakfast or a drink from the sun, shade and the many different species of birds. And you might even spot a squirrel or tawny owl ...!

The trees in and around our woodland garden provide a natural umbrella. You can always seek sun and also shade in our woodland garden as needed. On the terrace, in addition to the garden set, there are also two lounge chairs and a parasol. With nice weather you can sit here as befits a vacation home. In the morning, the lounge chairs catch the morning sun and you can have breakfast here, for example. A better start to the day does not exist!

Furthermore, there is a high chair (notify in advance), vacuum cleaner and some more practical things.
You have access to free wifi (4G due to outdoor area) in the forest house.

Surroundings
The forest house is located on the outskirts of Gorssel on a small vacation park in the middle of the woods. At the park is restaurant Bij Janssen & Janssen, which has a very cool indoor and outdoor playground for the kids!

From the park you can walk or cycle into the woods or onto the Gorsselse Heide. The immediate vicinity has many hiking and biking opportunities including a MTB route. You can also take a dip in the nearby outdoor pool 'de Boskoele' (approx. 1.2 km).

The village center of Gorssel is within walking distance (approx. 1.4 km) and has several surprisingly nice stores, restaurants (including the famous Loetje) and museum MORE.

Of course, a visit to the historic and beautiful Hanseatic cities of Zutphen or Deventer should not be missed.
In addition, the Achterhoek is known for its beautiful eight castles route: the ultimate cycling route to visit the beautiful nature and magnificent castles in the area.

Guest access

At forest house Dreamstay Gorssel there is space for 1 car. Furthermore, there is a general parking lot in front of the vacation park where you can park (for free).

Interaction with our guests

You do the check in and check out entirely yourself. For questions and tips we can be reached by email or app.

For emergencies, we have a caretaker on site.

In our house is a guestbook. We really enjoy reading the stories of our guests.

Other important information

• You must bring bed, bath and kitchen linen yourself. Unfortunately this is not optional to book.
• The tourist tax is per person per night. The tourist tax is shown separately when booking. You do not have to pay it on the spot or via a payment request.
